Originally from Gatineau, Maxime is a true jack-of-all-trades with a passion. His  career is as varied as it is inspiring: bar owner, festival organizer, organization director, and even novelist. 

Several years ago, he started in leather goods to create the ideal notebook, the one that was missing on the market. Whether fermenting food in his kitchen or tinkering in his workshop, Maxime always has a notebook on hand to write down his ideas, good and bad. A passion for creative projects

Throughout his career, Maxime has shown an incredible ability to transform his ideas into concrete projects. He has started and managed bars such as Où… Quoi! and Le petit Chicago, as well as Hasta la pizza, the aforementioned pizzeria. He has also been a pillar in the development of many festivals, such as the Festival de l'Outaouais émergent and the International de pétanque du Vieux-Hull.

 

An artisanal and sustainable approach

Maxime's philosophy is reflected in every notebook he creates. In addition to his many projects, Maxime likes to ferment everything he can, but not too often: beer, cabbage, sausage or cheese. He tries to repair everything he can and loves to renovate his house, often visiting the hardware store. For him, autonomy and self-sufficiency are essential. He seeks to stop buying specialized paper for life, preferring to reuse rather than recycle.
